Only in America

July 3, 2018

Only in America…
…we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight
...does a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance
…lemon juice is made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons

*Declaration of Independence? Ratified on July 4, 1776, the USA will be 242 this July 4th.
* Signing of the Treaty of Paris on September 3, 1783 (which signified the end of the Revolutionary War)? The USA will be 235 in a couple of months on September 3rd.
* Ratification of the constitution? On June 21, 1788, New Hampshire was the ninth state to do so, and with its ratification, the Constitution was officially in effect. If that's the date you believe the United States was “born”, the USA became 230 years old on June 21st.
* Or maybe you think the United States was born when all government branches were set up with the inauguration of George Washington as president on April 30, 1789. In that case, the country was 229 years old on April 30th.

HAPPY 4th OF JULY and be safe around fireworks, water activities and BBQ grilling.
