Youth Programs:Click on any of these selections to learn more about our programs for children and youth: Church School PF (Pilgrim Fellowship) Confirmation Class Children's Choirs YIC Dances Church School
classes are available during the school year for children three
years old through eighth grade. Children
attend thefirst part of worship with their families and then leave for
classes, which last until 11:15am.
In September we will begin using a new (to us) curriculum, Seasons of the Spirit. This is a lectionary-led education and will have the same theme as Worship. We would appreciate parents registering their children early. You may print the new registration form and complete it at home. Please return one form for each child to the church office by July 30. This will help us organize the classes for September. Childcare for infants through age 2 is available each Sunday throughout the year in our Childcare room on the lower level. Care is provided by a permanent, CPR-trained adult caregiver and assisted by high school youth. Pilgrim
Fellowship (PF) - Grades 7-12: Pilgrim
Fellowship is a place for people in grades 7-12 to come together for
fellowship, outreach and fun. PF meetings will
resume in the fall. Call the church office at 973-635-7723 for more
information. Confirmation
is one
of the most important rituals associated with our faith - an
opportunity for
youth (and the adults who guide them!) to explore faith in the context
of our
Christian religion. It is the time set aside for young people to decide
for
themselves whether they wish to be confirmed as Christian believers and
full
members of the church. The Stanley Cherub Choir is open to children in grades K through 2. We rehearse Sundays at 11:00 am in the Chapel. If you are interested in joining either of these groups, or if you simply want more information, please contact our Director of Music, Cliff Parrish. YIC, the
Youth
Interfaith Council, sponsors monthly dances for 7th & 8th graders
during the
school year. All Stanley 7th & 8th graders may attend the
dances,
regardless of whether you live in
Chatham or a neighboring town. Students must obtain an ID card in
order to
enter the dances. More information about these dances will be posted in
the fall. |
